Pressing & Apparel Care Instructions

How to Press Your DTF Transfer on Apparel

Before applying your DTF transfer, make sure your heat press is set to the correct temperature based on the fabric type.

Recommended Heat Press Temperatures

  • 100% Polyester: Around 240°F

  • Cotton/Polyester Blend: Around 260°F

  • 100% Cotton and Similar Fabrics: Around 280°F

Note: Temperatures may vary depending on your heat press. Always test first when working with a new fabric or machine.

Heat Press Instructions

Step 1: Pre-Press the Garment

Pre-press your blank apparel for about 5 seconds on the side where the design will be placed. This helps remove moisture and wrinkles.

Step 2: Place the DTF Transfer

Position your DTF transfer on the apparel. Cover the entire transfer with teflon paper or parchment paper.

Step 3: Press the Design

Heat press with medium pressure for about 10 seconds.

Step 4: Peel the Transfer

Peel the transfer instantly and discard the film. You may also wait for the transfer to cool completely before peeling, depending on your preference.

Step 5: Final Press

Place the teflon paper or parchment paper back over the design and press again for 5–6 seconds. This helps improve the finish and durability of the print.

Regular Iron Instructions for DTF Transfers

If you are using a regular iron, set it to the highest heat setting and make sure the steam option is turned off.

Step 1: Pre-Iron the Garment

Pre-iron your blank apparel on the side where the design will be placed. This helps remove moisture and wrinkles.

Step 2: Position the Transfer

Place your DTF transfer on the apparel. Cover the full transfer with teflon paper or parchment paper.

Step 3: Apply Pressure

Hold the iron firmly in place with heavy pressure for about 15 seconds on each part of the design. Continue until the entire design has been pressed.

Step 4: Let It Cool

Wait for the transfer to cool completely before peeling off the film.

Step 5: Final Iron Press

Place the teflon paper or parchment paper back over the design. Apply pressure again and iron over the design for a final press.

Washing & Care Instructions for Printed Apparel

To keep your printed apparel looking clean and long-lasting, follow these care instructions:

1. Turn Apparel Inside Out

Always turn your garment inside out before washing.

2. Wash Cold

Machine wash using cold water.

3. Use Mild Detergent

For best results, use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, whitening detergents, brightening detergents, OxiClean, and fabric softeners.

4. Dry Carefully

Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.

5. Do Not Iron Over the Design

Never iron directly over the printed design. If ironing is needed, turn the garment inside out or avoid the design area.
